Now before I say anything I know this post shouldn't be in this section but I need immediate help. Whenever I try to open the recording software that comes with an Hauppauge HD PVR 1212 (Total Media Extreme 2) and I go into the recording part of the software it tells me this error message "The device in use has been disconnected, please chose a different device." Now I have tried to extensively research and find a fix for this problem I come up with a few things but nothing that can help me. I have tried almost everything re-installing the software/drivers, rebooting my computer/pvr, etc. If anyone has a solution for this it would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Double check you have everything plugged in correctly and always start up your gaming console first.
