I really want to tell myself that it's only a small majority of Americans that are ignorant because i've met a few nice people, but when i've been to the US a lot of the people were rude, and to add to that, a lot of Americans on the internet are just plain stupid.

lets be honest, if we didn't help out, the Germans would've taken over.

I know that a lot of countries helped, but as soon as the states joined the war, we instantly started gaining ground.

Its not really that big of a deal IMO, atleast we all won the war.

How would the Germans have taken over? I don't want this to turn into an argument btw.

They helped a lot, they didn't single handedly win it, but we needed all the help we could get

I'm just thankful I'm not speaking German

And if anyone knew their history it was actually the Russians that defeated German leading to the suicide of Hitler,
England, France, America and Canada only help re-conquer France

Honestly the Germans should have won. Now I'm not a Nazi or anything but they had to fight on to many fronts and when they lost a single front then that mean't that the opposing sides army can march right into Germany. But yes the U.S. did do a huge part with bombings and overall invasions.

Edit: The fact that Germany thought that they were so strong pretty much lead to their own downfall since they decided to attack Russia and were completely destroyed when they attack due the harsh winters at Russia. Then they had to deal with bombings from the U.S. Britain, and Russia advancing into Germany, then there's the fact of the U.S. invading from France and also invading Italy opening up another front that Germany had to fight on.

I am from UK, Most people from our Country say "The USA did barely nothing" - In this case you didn't exactly stand back & watch it happen. Without the whole of the Country's being combined to help one & other, then we would not have won. You can't just blame another country for not doing anything although the French basically didn't do anything (other than pulling the white flag)

america we're a massive help in the war but they didn't win it single handedly as if it was just them in the war they probably wouldn't have won.
it annoys me when you get selfish americans in arguments or whatever and they start saying stuff like without us you would have been screwed in the war and all sorts of different stuff like it was actually them in the war, instead there just taking credit for something they did jack s*** about
