Ok so we have half of the answer:
Saw the table in half. put i back together and you have a whole=hole. what happens next. how do we get down safely!

Jump with the two pieces of the table at your feet and when you're about to hit the ground jump off of the table and you're safe.

Use the tables to make a weight system where it catches the paper on it's way down which will add more weight and slowly bring you down to surface.

Wait until the paper has made a hill or mountain and rock the cage until you slide down the mountain.
