There may be some people that have changed their preferences, but Ghosts is still number three in the US for most preorders with 9 weeks to go on the Xbox 360. This chart says Battlefield has 841,000 total preorders across the platforms (no PC on the list) in the US. Given those numbers and the fact Battlefield releases before Ghosts, people are still preferring Call of Duty (generally speaking.) If VGChartz is unreliable, then I apologize, but it's a chart that seems reliable and one that pops up in search engines.

It's not, every year people say Call of Duty is dead but its not because everyone still buys it
