I'm pretty sure we've all come across a YouTuber or two, who end what they say with a phrase similar but not limited to "Leave a like if you enjoyed". That's all dandy, but when it comes to the point when YouTubers say "Like this video if you want the next part up within the next 2 days", that is when i draw the line.
First off, our views alone will support you a great amount, plus it might even help feed you if YT is how you make a living.
Secondly, you are asking me to do something to be able to get videos quicker because you want to make some extra money? I'm sorry but you should be doing YT because you love it, not because you want to see how popular you can get.
Lastly, the best way (in my opinion) to not get a like is by asking for a like after Every. Single. Video. TheRadBrad commonly does it (sorry to point him out). I will like a video if i think it deserves it. By asking for one you sort of take away that freedoma nd make me feel like i must be obligated to do so to get videos. That is so wrong. Why do that if you already have a large amount of subs, like TheRadBrad's 1 million+? Plus many YouTubers use twitch as a second source of income. So why keep asking for more?
Overall i think asking for likes is a overall selfish thing to do, obviously due to the reasons i stated above. This is of course my opinion. So it's fine if you disagree.
How do you guys feel about this kind of thing?

I hate when a video is uploaded for some sort of downloaded, then they say "I'll release it once this video hits 400 likes"...

It's just a way for your YouTube to grow. Not many huge youtubes do it just the smaller ones.

I completely agree and this is exactly how I think. But it especially pisses me off when a big youtuber like Optic Nadeshot will stream on twitch, and run an ad every 10mins as if he isn't making enough money from youtube and tournaments alone, but no he has to run adds every ten minutes and put his twitch chat in subscriber only mode so more people will subscribe which makes him even more money. Then at the end of the day he will just throw a random gameplay up on youtube and make even more money.

Haha yeah, there was this little parody of famous youtubers that was making fun of youtube famous people and players who constantly ask for subscriptions and likes. I think its quite funny.

They might as well say "let youtube know you like my video so I can make more money off of them."

I totally agree with you!
Its like I've seen videos where they say when I hit 100 subs I will upload a new video and its stupid it doesn't work like that!
If viewers like your videos they will subscribe.
