You should to be honest get a Alienware. They are really good for gaming ( I have 17 2013) and can do everything else I want! It can do better things than my desktop which has a better GPU and CPU (I5 @ 3.2).
I can run all the latest games (arma 3, new splintercell, battlefield 3 ultra with about 55-60fps) You say you don't want one but when you have it you will change your mind
