Does Walmart do a midnight realease for the game ?

It depends on the store. You would have to call just to make sure. My Walmart isn't, and we have two Gamestops in town and only one is doing it.
Just give them a call or go onto Rockstar's website and you can find a list of all stores in your area doing Midnight releases
