Title is the question, I have Sprint, and both are $100.00 my upgrade is October 5th, I had a iPhone 4 for about 2 years but it broke recently and I've had to use the Samsung Exclaim (it was my first phone as a kid and I still had it so..) I'm also getting BestBuy Mobile because if you break your phone they'll fix it free, if you have the plan. So yeah, HTC One or iPhone 5c?

I would say the iPhone would be a much better choice.

HTC One is a quality phone
iPhone 5C looks like a cheap knock off
I'm normally an apple guy but stick with the One mate. It's probably going to prove to be the better phone.

I've been an apple fan ever since I got the iphone 4 and I loved it but if I break the phone I'm screwed and will be stuck with the crappy Exclaim till I can get money to fix it. Thats the only con to getting the IPhone 5c...

When smart phones started hitting the market, I used androids. Went to iPhone because I liked it when my parents had them. After about a year of my iPhone I got rid of it for an Android again (never going back).
Basically weigh out your preferences.
iPhones are great with the built in facetime application, very easy to use since it gives you limited options.
Android on the other hand, extremely customizable (without rooting) and has apps for just about anything iphone can do standalone.
My other problem with iphone - screens are tiny. I watch a lot of videos and streaming in my downtime at work. Since I don't have access to websites through work computers, I use my phone to access all the media. iphones also limit all market downloading to 50mb or less until you are connected to wifi (plus most things you can get free on android market you have to pay for on iphones). This also includes phone updates - the iphone wont install your firmware updates unless connected to wifi.
