Exactly lol Microsoft even said that they weren't getting involved with what Scotiabank does with the codes. They said it's up to them with what they want to do with the codes.

I did scotiabank glitch and got banned too for marketplace theft.

I was only able to do it in July, I think, so I should be okay.

I have not been banned... Well I guess am a lucky guy.

Why would they ban people for redeeming codes? What if someone bought MSP from Ebay or something and redeemed it. He didn't do an exploit.

Buying with msp, whether it's from scotia bank or not, is not market place theft.
Market place theft would be getting the game or dlc for free using another account.

Even though you think your getting it for free by using scotia bank, your actually not.
Scotia bank paid Microsoft to advertise themself on the dashboard, and as part of the agreement Microsoft gave them msp codes to advertise with.

Although the scotia bank ad, could be considered as system abuse if you created multiple accounts, it is highly unlikely you got banned for it. Besides it was so long ago and this was probably the reason they stopped.

Try posting on the xbox support forums to get a more specific reason, than 'market place theft'.
