Personally I'd never get a gaming laptop for 2 reasons.
1. Battery Life, when playing games on the move it uses a hell of a lot of battery. Meaning you would have to take a charger with you where ever you go.
2. Value/performance ratio. You could build a desktop PC for the same and maybe double the performance from what you get from a priced accordingly laptop.
But if you a adamant i would always stick with MSI. I have heard excellent reviews about their laptops, and if i were to go for a laptop MSI would be for me.
Some people may have a different opinion on the matter, but that is mine.
Well. I'd got for something like this.

I really, really hope you haven't gone out and buy a Microstar laptop yet.
I have ordered enough hardware from them to put them on my list of 'no'. It's just weak and unreliable. Their motherboards seem to be the worst.
Anyways, go with something like Acer. I don't know what you're going to do with $1600, but unless you're running Crysis 3 on maximum settings, there's no need to splurge. Wait for prices to drop.
