tbyeah wroteIt will be nice yeah, but the 7990 has more problems than it's worth. the 290X can't have as many as the 7990.Vishera wrote Oh yeah the Heatsinks are blue, but they look epic as it's brushed metal.
But my Hyper 212 EVO hides most of them.
My new computer is going to be very similar to yours bar the CPU at first...
Then comes the 290X.
Or 7990 if I feel like it.

It's getting better, it will still likely be more powerful, and one lucky person might get the game code. I already have most of them.

Gigabyte put a heatsink on the VRM of their 970A-DS3 and called it the DS3P. The 4+1 phasing they use is good and I doubt you'll find anything better for the price.

The 4-pin EPS connector should be fine for overclocking an 8320 with a mid-range cooler. if you plan on getting an 8350 and/or a higher-end air cooler like a Silver Arrow (the only one I'd recommend in the UK because the price is so low), I'd suggest the UD3 because it's got 8+2.

If I'm honest, the Hyper 212 EVO is more for quieter cooling than more powerful. I might not overclock at all, and if I do (with an 8320), I don't plan on going far. What would the DS3P lack from the M5A97 R2.0? Or the EVO?

Nothing at all if you're not going to be pushing the overclocks with a high-end cooler. None of these boards are good for SLI/Crossfire and you'd want 990 FX for 16x 16x if you had that in mind.

Wasn't planning anything like that, was just thinking of things like mobo headers and such. I'll probably get the DS3P just because its so cheap then.
