Hey everybody. Got a lot of feedback from when I was going to do an AMD build.
Now i have no money limit and find this build to be perfect for me.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Also looking to future proof thus the high price.
and yes, i know future proofing is kind of ridiculous but it's what I'm going to try to do with my first build.

What I plan on doing is recording, video editing, live streaming, and also Nvidia surround when I get the other two monitors.

Future plans are to buy another 780 classy, and 2 more pb278q monitors in the next couple months. Also maybe next year to go with a custom loop water cooling but that's a whole other story

As before, I will rep 50 for any input you guys comment. If I don't get to it today, I'll do it definitely tomorrow.

Looks good for what you're using it for. Although a 4770k would be fine.

If I were you'd I'd just get 2 2TB 7200RPM drives instead of a single 1TB 10kRPM drive. 10000 RPM drives are kinda a waste when you have an SSD. 7200RPM would be absolutely fine. You could probably run 2 in RAID 0 if you really wanted performance.

Spending money just because you can is no good. Spend has much as you have to to get what you need done.

i7 4770K
MSI Z87-G45
16GB of RAM that's not overpriced
Phanteks PH-TC14PE
7990 unless you need CUDA instead of OpenCL
Whatever SSD capacity you want
Regular 5.4K or 7.2K mechanical drives

Two 780s won't even take you very far with 3*2560*1440 so I suggest you reconsider unless you actually plan on somehow using all of that real estate for something other than gaming.

You don't need a full tower, You don't need a $400 MOBO, You can get 16gb of ram for much cheaper. The hard drive is overpriced, switch it for a 7200RPM the SSD could be a bit bigger, maybe 256gb? $759 for a screen? Ask r00t about monitors I seem to remember he had a monitor post.Do you really need all that cooling? It's just general things that you've not considered. Are you using this for a job or just general gaming?

I saw the 4770k but I don't like it due to its tock on Intel. It's integrated graphics I believe and I won't be needing that. I also read that ivy bridge e is 15 percent faster? Again this is future proofing, or atleast what I see as future proofing. And I thought triple 1440p would be too much for a single card? I'll probably head your advice about that and I'll most likely drop the velociraptor. The ssd is purely for os and games, and that would eliminate the need for 10k rpm. As for the ram it's only because I have the funds to be able to buy it. Also looking to custom loop the gpu and CPU in the future and 2011 seems like a bonus there too because of the lack of need of another backplate. Just my opinion guys and thank you for commenting. The peripherals I won't drop and they're pricey but if you didn't have a budget I'm sure you'd get what you'd like. Thanks again guys

general gaming and editing possible 3d modeling. This is going to be used for a long time and in the likely scenario I'll be using it for work also

Edit:you're right about the screen but I'd prefer a 1440p. As for the mono in genuinely interested in this mono due to it being evgas actually good mobo. 2011 doesn't seem to have a good variety in mobos considering it was only the xtreme edition before, but seeing as how ivy bridge came out it's opened the market for 2011 sockets a little more. As for cooling il sure I can drop most of the noctuas but I was plannig on running a push pull on the x60. Thanks for the advice on the fans and drive

its funny, I was actually thinking of running a couple drives in raid 0

Triple QHD is too much for any single card for demanding games. The only logical card setup I could recommend for that would be three Titans because you'd need the VRAM. There's very little info or benchmarks for that kind of monitor setup because almost nobody does it.

What programs will you be using? If you're not going to be constantly maxing your hardware out, there's just no need to spend so much. Future proofing doesn't work because you're throwing money at a problem you can't solve.

i know it's a ridiculous idea and I'd say its stupid from another standpoint, but with this I won't be looking to buy another CPU or will have the need to get a motherboard with a different socket for a while. Why would you not recommend dual 780s for the three monitors then? I won't try to back up my claim for future proofing because I know myself it doesn't work but the funds available at this point won't be anything near it in the future.

Edit: just saw the post about the VRAM, thanks root. I'll make sure to edit my build before I purchase it.
