A friend of mine needs a new GPU as his isn't able to run BF4, I have recommended the 7790 but I wanted a second opinion on the matter. Open to all suggestions I only need a GPU nothing else. Thanks!

I was actually going to say the 7790.

Tell him to save about 20 quid more and get a 7850 though. It will perform better, for only 20 pounds more.

Thanks for the help, glad to see that I was more or less right. He'll probably still go for the 7790 as he's being strict on his budget.
