It doesn't require the worship of a God, belief in a soul or a supernatural realm of any kind.
It's more of a philosophy on life and a method of contemplation.

Buddhism can be considered both a religion and philosophy, my friend. It can be seen as a religion because it involves the elements of belief, faith, and self-transformation. Religion is often found out in the real world because people turn largely to religion for the ones who want to live life to their fullest potential. I like to see religion as a blanket that covers up to give an understanding of comfort.
As in a philosophy, Buddhists tend to not believe in the same aspects as Judism Christian faiths. Buddhists generally hold that everyone must walk their own path in life. As for me, I could potentially say that I use some abstract thinking from Buddhism. It essentially teaches you to live life with happiness and no despair.
