If you think consoles have better graphics, you should look into what you're talking about before you post. Even the next-generation use what would be considered budget PC hardware. You can't get a high-end console that performs better; it's one-size-fits-all.
People who get more involved in gaming tend to gravitate toward PC gaming because it adds so much to the experience. You can customize the hardware, pick your peripherals, overclock, upgrade (you DON'T need to do this, turn your settings down the same way aging consoles do for new games), make your own stuff, and choose from a much, much, MUCH larger selection of current AAA, indie, vintage, and emulator games.
PC gaming is more complicated and there are sacrifices consoles make for simplicity. You can't use a console like a regular PC for work, proper web browsing, media management, etc. The things that make a PC good for gaming also make it good for just about everything else. Consoles are plug-and-play with gaming and some other services like Netflix. You simply get more functionality for your money with a PC.
Your friends may play on console, not PC. It's more fun to play with friends. It's your decision and to be realistic, most of you console gamers would be PC gamers if your friends were too. You can't do split-screen on PC.
PC hardware is cool but not everyone is into it. Building your own PC will get you into it, whether you like it or not.
TL;DR: PC gaming is cool and it doesn't have to be better than console gaming. They coexist nicely and will even more strongly in the future with consoles using x86 platforms. You owe it to yourself to see what the fuss is about PC gaming because you'll probably like it a lot.
Hahahaha you got jipped for that one. By no stretch of the imagination is this "typical."

Wiki wrote I myself am a "PC Gamer", and i must say the PC is my opinion will outdo the consoles regardless when regarding specifications, we are constantly getting upgrades and whatnot, whereas consoles are one set spec out of the box, the market for both types of gaming machines is high however the constant mantinance and upgrades the PC requires is just to exspensive and overwhelming compared to the afordability of a "casual gamer" which in my eyes is what a console is aimed at, then again some people like myself do have a "Gaming PC" and an Xbox 360, i like the simplicity of the xbox for games such as GTA however when it comes to World of Warcraft,Battlefeild and Call of Duty, the PC out performs them all, now regarding the amount of users on Xbox and playstation compared to PC is gastronomical. At this moment in time they are 6 million users on steam and around 40 million online on xbox live, now where do the factors come in, PC gaming is free for online usage (unless you pay 9 a month for WoW like me) however 40 a year for online on a mediocre console that is reasonabily priced and doesnt require upgrades is very good in my opinion. Take a typical gaming pc like mine;
Nvidia Geoforce gtx 660ti
i7 sandybridge proccessor overclocked to 4.9GHz
24GB DDR3 RAM
1TB Harddrive
600W COrshair power supply
1400
Xbox 360: 189.99 plus 40 a year for XBL
Now, you choose, casual gamers vs the hardcore gamer?, i think you will find they are more casual gamers when taking a look at the statistics, but thats just my overview of it.
There are over 40 million Steam users as of 2012. There are 48 million TOTAL Live users (and that's including non-gold).
PCs don't need to be expensive, and what makes you think Steam OS won't be plug and play like consoles? It is very possible for Steam Boxes to sell for $500 or even less.
By the way, why do you have 24GB of RAM, are you calculating fluid dynamics or something haha?
