Is it bad to use 100% of the CPU?

I have the AMD FX6300 and Need for Speed World uses 100% of 1/6 cores. Is this bad?

No, it's just a single-threaded game. 100% usage means the game's performance is CPU-bound.

Now what if you are running simple programs like skype, visual studios, and chrome?

I believe Chrome takes an advantage of all cores of a cpu, if I'm not mistaken.

CPU scheduling can make one core/thread handle multiple tasks and modern CPUs can run programs like that with almost no impact on performance.

All I know is that my pc runs like crap when I have 5 applications running at the same time. I have youtube, ttg, and skype running and it is still at 80%. Time to upgrade. When I get the money.

@Zor0ark and AWL

If you're going on a tangent, you need to make a new topic.
