I bought my first jtag from a local friend 2 years ago, it red ringed after about 5 months... After all that experience I was able to make my own rgh which is still running today. Once I got more experience with the xbox 360 in general I ended up learning c++ and ppc, originally to make mw2 mod menus, now put to other use. Now after about 2 years of modding I figured out I wanna pursue a career in this. I am going to school now for computer science and engineering and in all become a software engineer. Before I got my jtag I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to be. So I guess it all depends really how much into it you wanna get. I personally think its worth it just because once its modified you can do WHATEVER you want to the console.

Do research on the benefits you can achieve from having a JTAG or RGH console, then you'll soon figure out if its something you want and will enjoy having. Don't waste your money on something your not going to use, but if you decide to purchase one I have console + service shop. If you have any questions contact me as well. Good luck!

I haven't read any of these reply's.
But personally if you want too have a little bit of fun with some dlls, and loose the enjoyment after about a week, I wouldn't, at least until a new online server that inst a complete rip off, I wouldn't.

Or just don't ever buy a jtag if you just want to host lobbies.
