Good question!

No questions are stupid, ask as many as you want!

Basically it just unlocks the phone and allows you to do anything you want to it. You can modify the home screen, lock screen, etc.
Download free apps
change the carrier name

All kinds of fun stuff that you would be restricted to on a non jailbroken iPhone
Thank you for the information. + rep!

Honestly they are not even close to finish a jailbreak. Especially an untethered one. Don't try to get these people excited for no reason. Planet being said they may have found the pieces but that's about it. They still have to do a whole lot & you don't know what other bugs they might encounter.

I can't wait to jailbreak my iPad on iOS 7.0.2 and upgrade my iPhone from 6.1.2

Anyone know if Cydia will have an iOS 7 feel/theme?

I mean this video clearly says they are almost finished with it and are just working and making sure things run smoothly. They also might be waiting til the 7.0.3 jailbreak comes out as well which might be soon.

Also, that tweet that you saw by Planet was on the 2nd of October. Today's date is the 16th of October. That is 14 days in between and I would think that they had made some progress from that time to now.

Here you will find a lot of information about the jailbreak.
They are having trouble with glitches and it being laggy for iOS 6.1.3 and will try to release the 6.1.3 jailbreak before 2014

However the jailbreak for iOS 7 will be out before 6.1.3

So in conclusion, you should see the iOS 7 jailbreak very soon, maybe late October or somewhere near the middle of November. No one knows yet, they have gone silent about this jailbreak.

Yes this is correct

We are not going to have to wait long its just I hoped to see it released either this weekend or next but now since they are waiting on these new iPads then it will be a little bit longer

So then, I'm guessing around December is when the jailbreak will be available and also when the new iPads will be released?
Are they waiting to also support the new iPads to be jail broken to release the iOS 7 jailbreak?
