I'm about to buy a custom pc or an alienware x51 desktop soon, I will be using it for some minor gaming, nothing toooo heavy, heaviest being probably running battlefield or call of duty, no rendering or cinematic stuff. For that type of use, what's better for me, Intel or AMD? And what's really the difference?
Cheers guys!

Budget?
And don't buy an Alienware. Step away from the Alienware, don't do anything drastic.

Not trying to mini-mod but try and keep it to one topic; makes things easier.

Firstly, Alienware is one of the worst brands you could buy from. Don't let some flashy lights draw you in.

Total: 638.64 GBP
That'll max every game @1080p even some at 1440p.
The reason I went for that graphics card is because currently it boasts the greatest overclocking potential out of the R9 280Xs.

I realise I went a little over budget but it's just; I kind of wish I had that graphics card for myself.
This card is better suited for your needs since the one I listed is probably overkill.

You'll max any game @1080p.
Your total will be roughly in the mid 550-560s now. It's all compatible.
