Yes, you don't need a special AV cord, a standard one will do just fine.

But when I unplug it it flashes all 4 light okay when I plug it in I can't see but I can here it

4 Red Lights mean its not plugged in, your av cable may be faulty

try putting the switch on the AV cable (TV/HDTV) to TV and see if anything changes if not. your console may be starting to fail i had a xenon that did this to me need a reflow to fix
