You'd think thats a good idea, but if you plan on going to one with all the front windows where everything can see in their, then your just gonna be part of the merchandise for zombies. Unless you manage to barricade every single window, you might be good. Also, if you plan on going their during the panic hour, then you might have a hard time.

well i got a gate around my house so im kinda protected but 1st thing i would do is kill my neighbor take his food go find some guns and more food and weapons and wood and form barricades and stay protected. Also u need a group so find some more ppl ;)

I would border up my house get all the weapons I could and come up with a plan of escaping.

You won't be able to immediately go out and scavenge supplies from a town/city. It would be too full of Last of Us-style hooligans waiting to steal your stuff and zombies to bite your face off. I would grab a kitchen knife, gun, whatever I had at my disposal. Go outside, make temporary traps and alarms. (Easy to do with a little know-how). And then find a map. (Have plenty). Would find a safe place with a good wall surrounding and as few windows as possible. Then, after a couple days when there are plenty more zombies than there are humans, slowly make my way to town to collect supplies and search for anyone still alive. From there, just repeat that and slowly make my way to either a prison (walking dead much?) or there is an army base in Texas I went to and it was perfect. Airplanes in case of emergency, and plenty of tanks, trucks, and guns.

Also: I've always had this idea of a pawn shop being a good place during an outbreak. The windows are barred up with heavy metal (most of the time), and the one I have in my town has guns from hunting rifles to AKs, and even swords and crossbows. Plenty of stuff to scavenge.
