So I just finished setting up the new Xbox 360 Wireless headset that I got and left it to charge for around 30 minutes (connected to Xbox). When I came back and took the headset charger out & powered on my Xbox, I got the 3 rings of death. I turned it off quickly and powered it on again. It powered up just fine and I'm playing it now. Should I be worried?

No it may just be the power supply was not plugged in properly, my white xbox does this sometimes but it gets 4rings when I unplug the power supply and plug it back in its fine.

it should be fine this used to happen tome until i got the slim
