We'll if your a modder and have some $ then i suggest:

Alienware
Sony Vaio
HP
NOT DELL, dont buy dell

Don't buy the low end sony vaio's and hps get one with a decent amount of ram and a fairly large Hard drive

Also I suggest mac:
Yes you heard right, MAC .

Im on a mac and have a jtag and host lobbies. If you have the $, then i suggest MAC over all of those. The reason is because you can install VMWare Fusion or Parallels and run Windows like I do. You get the best of both worlds. No viruses on your windows or mac os x

So I suggest Alien Ware or HP or Sony Vaio for PC, and MacBook (Pro) for Mac. Thanks 8)

Price range $700-$900, get a Compaq or Dell
