You play online as a single player character..
1)Be in a online match
2)Open up the xbox/ps3 market store
3)When you click yes, instantly press pause and go to leave online.
4)It should load a single player character in an online match.
5)When you load up, open the store again but just exit out when it loads.
Then you can be able to play online and do the glitch!

1)Get a 2-5 star wanted level
2)Call anyone for a mission(doesn't matter)
3)Hide from the cops to where the stars blink (DONT FULLY LOSE THEM!)
4)Accept the mission and pay 500$ which will be refunded
5)Rinse and Repeat!

Can you only play as a single player character?

Wanting to revert back to your online character is easy. Just hold down the D-PAD and switch back to a different single player character and go back online.

Also, if you die as you're playing as a single player character. You re spawn as a random character.

EDIT: You have to be a single player character for this to work.

I meant can you only do the xp glitch with a single player character?

As said in my EDIT, yes you HAVE to be a single player character to do this.

I love how I posted this same thing about 2 hours ago and the thread got deleted and I got warning.

I don't know how he does it in the video, just spamming the A button. However, some people on Se7enSins found out how to do it, but the stars at the top have to be blinking for you to earn RP.

I can't seem to get the whole single player online thing to work

I can't do it either when ever i remove the wanted level I get xp when the stars are blinking but after I do it once the stars stop blinking then I get no xp and I have to wait like 5minutes till I can do it again
