can anybody help me out as to how to forward ports so i can play mw2 on an arris router, i have tried ports from the port forwarding site but still cannot play online or join anybody's game + rep for help thanks!

thanks man helps with the understanding alot but i still cant connect after following those guidlines, will directly plugging into the router solve this without ports? and it seems that my problem is with arris router itself i have called my isp and have tried just about everything, any other suggestions?
