Basically i just build my first pc today and when upon trying to install windows 7 I found out it said I didn't have a hdd to install it to, I then checked to see if my hdd was recognised in my bios and it wasn't.
Can someone help at all

Make sure both leads are correctly plugged in and have a snug connection.
If still no luck, try a different SATA cable.
If nothing works and it doesn't power on, it's most probably DOA.

make sure both sides of the sata cable are plugged in fully and make sure the power is in fully. if not contact the seller and send it back.
