You know i do agree that kids these days value the whole cell phone deal too much. I feel it does make it hard for them to learn empathy and general social norms. But, ye' know i think thats just what the future is going to be like, we're all kinda moving away from social interaction and in some regards i guess thats ok, but at the same time, its not.

I think that Cell phones are way to over-valued by teens(including myself), I feel they play other key roles. They are there in case that very teen gets stuck in a bind, they give kids a general feel of comfort, they also can help you build yourself socially if you're not a very talkative kid at first. While things such as text bullying are bad, it totally goes away from the point of phones being bad and just moves onto Cyber Bullying. So why don't we just take computers, Ipads, etc away. And as for the whole empathy part I feel like the phone doesn't make you cold hearted. You calling some kid fat over the phone or in person is hard to do, and by doing it over text, you most likely already didn't have that much there in the first place. I agree with some things but disagree with others
