BioHazardWaFFlz wrote I am honestly just done with Gamestop. First of all, most of the employees are just rude. There is only one or two employees that I have ever actually enjoyed and have felt like they know that I just want to come in, buy a video game, and enjoy it. Next, is that it seems as though they rip you off. You can bring back a newer game and they will only give you like $10 - $15 for it. Maybe even $20. I believe that you should get about half of what they are selling the game for. That way if you are trading in a game that they are selling for $30, you get $15 and not $5. That way you both get some money and are happy. Lastly, I feel like most of the employees don't know their games/game systems too much, at least where I live. Most of the time I'm the one with the right answer when they give me some bs answer. If you're going to work at Gamestop, please know some things about games/game systems. Well, that's all. Thanks for sticking through the post and I just want to say, this is all my OPINION.

there si a simple answer buy it from amazon and sell it through amazon, i got my GTAV for 30 bucks on amazon and sold my Black Ops 1 for $40. amazon doesn't have rude people and they are more reliable then gamestop.

I never sell to Gamestop. I sell to the store called Hastings, they have better in-store credit/cash. (By at least $5-$15). Also, I only do it when new games are out. Because New games sell for $60 but used old games are higher prices than Gamestop. So as long as I am buying something that is the same price at Gamestop, I get more in store credit.

I don't sell games anymore even if I don't play because once in a while I get the urge to go back to a game. (I bought COD4 5 times if that helps.)

Also, funny story off topic.

I went to buy BO1 with my dad when it came out, they rang me up messed up, because my dad kept talking and confusing them. So I got BO1 free. Then my friend had a broken copy of BO1, I sent it to Treyarch and complained, they sent me a new one. (Trust me I do it all the time if my game breaks) I sold that new copy for $35. Also, I sold my actual BO1 for another $20. And I license transferred BO1 from a friend. I am a money-whoring gamer.

its all business dude, no company will give back 50% of what they will earn to some guy.. just saying. You have to look at it from a financial stand point. The whole not knowing anything about games is also true for me to like why work at a game shop if you dont know anything about games... they give bs information and irrelevant stuff. Im done with gamestop, once dark souls 2 comes out im never shopping at gamestop again, im taking me and my money to best buy or amazon.

the manager at my local gamestop is sorta like a legend. he sells games a day early even without a midnight release or extra money, hes starts selling PS4's tomorrow, and he gives awesome discounts if they mess up. i once called to ask if a specific game was available amd they said yes over the phone. when i got there it turns out the made a mistake amd he gave me a 50% discount on the game of choice since he madee
drive up there for nothing. but this unfortunately is the only "good"
gamestop i've been to. the rest in my city suck.

What you've got to understand is that Gamestop is a place that specializes in video games. Walmart is always going to be able to offer better prices on games, they have so many items in stock and such a large profit margin that losing a few dollars here and there is barely felt. Gamestop sets its prices, and it's values where it needs to in order to stay in business. If you don't like how they operate, buy from Walmart from now on.
