That's how you do it, typically, the end of the URL will be something like .jpg,.png,.gif , etc.

You press that then put the url of the picture/gif in there.
i did this and it doesnt work im trying to get one of my pics from flickr and when i preview my post it just shows the link?
Does the url end with .png or .jpg? If it doesn't, put that at the end of the url.

when your getting a url for an image it doesnt always work if you copy the url so right click on the image and click copy image url then use that.
