a monitor is always more HQ than a TV screen.
In fact, I heard playing Xbox on a monitor is even better too.
unless its a really good tv and the moniter is a pos
stick on the monitor

using a computer on a massive Tv has its problems anyway. I'd advise you to buy a monitor.
if you need help choosing one just reply back with a budget and size.

Since nobody gave you the answer you were looking for I would just like to say yes you can use it as a monitor however these Sony Google TV's's are notorious for having a slow response time meaning you can move your mouse but it wont move on the screen for at least another second which is noticeable and very annoying.
...and to the guys above these Google TV's are one of the best HD TV's you can buy at the moment and who said he has an absolutely massive one?

The problems with using a tv is that they have larger amounts of input lag which can affect gameplay at times.
