Well, it's locked. It's on iOS7, I'm unsure if my friend stole it or got it second hand..

Uh, anyways, it's locked. When I unlock it, it goes through language selection etc, then asks you to login to an 'Apple ID' something to do with "Find my iPhone"? I'm unsure what to do here..

I thought there could be a way of bypassing it? Maybe a jailbreak?

Help would be appreciated here, not sure what to do.

I'm looking at it now. It says that It needs to login to the apple ID that was already on the device.

DFU mode should do the trick, although you'll need a computer with iTunes installed with you.

Same procedure apply's to all iOS devices.

Yeah I had a go at DFU mode along with the restore, it's still locked somehow.

Does anyone know if jail breaking will do the trick?

You must've put it into restore mode. DFU and Restore mode are pretty close. DFU mode will completely get rid of everything on the phone and start over, here restore mode will ask for a backup, then it will ask for the apple ID.

With iOS 7 any iPod that was restored must be unlocked with previous apple id. This is to prevent people from using stolen iPods such as yourself.

Is your friend black? Because if he is you can tell if he's stolen it or not. (:

Abit racist don't you think, just assuming a black man/women has stolen something
