because a dream takes place in your subconscious, if you were to die in a dream your body would think you had died and just shut down (apparently) cant remember where i heard this tho! =]

I have died before, lots of times every time I do i wake up really fast with my heart racing and body tingling. Happens once every few months.

My parents and I were just leaving the theater early from a play because I was scared, when all of a sudden a homeless guy with a gun popped out, he held a gun to my dad. My dad, being a mentally strong man, told the man to put down the gun. The other guy told my parents to give him what they got, my dad went to disarm the man... My dad and mom got shot, leaving me alone in an ally scared and crying. They told me that they will will find Mr. Wayne's murderer. I was told to go under the support of Alfred. I later took my life to save all of a city

Same for me as well, they don't happen often.

Once every month or two maybe at the most.

I have gotten close to dying, but then I just wake up. One time was I was in a gun fight and I was shot, but I just woke up before I thought I really died and another was I was in a fist fight and a guy tackled me with a knife and pinned me, shoving it into my chest but I woke up really fast with my chest hurting and pains where I got hit.

Apparently your mind wont let you die in your dreams. But if you do die there is a small chance of getting a Heart attack (or something around the lines) which can be fatal obviously.

I always wake up right before my death. Lol thank goodness

I think we don't usually tend to die in our dreams because we don't know what truly happens when you die or what dying is like. So how can that be re-created in a dream if our mind doesn't know what it is?

Or if you feel like your just falling it's pretty creepy
