DDOS - Stands for Distributed Denial Of Service. They basically flood your router with packets causing you to severely lag and eventually disconnect, in this cause resulting in a forfeit on GB.
Does anyone know a way to counter, prevent, or maybe even have a heads up that someones trying to do it, they're very regular on Gamebattles, IT'S SO UNFAIR.
I know you can buy a new router but, i'm not going to be spending like 120 just to play GB, Imagine haha.

buying a new router wont help you, to know if your being booted yo will begin jolting around the map and eventually drop out the match you cannot prevent this only having a good connection speed will stop you dropping out but not lagging. to proide proof of a ddos look up your router log and find the time you were booted and and there will be a disruption on your hub use that to provide proof

YES! thats what i wanted to know, (about the Router log) i just couldn't word it haha.
I looked it up and they said there's a weird router thingy that redirect the packets sent to your I.P So the set up diagram would look like this:
-[ETHERNET]-[WEIRD ROUTER THINGY]-[ETHERNET]-[ACTUAL MODEM]-[XBOX]
