I have a Desktop that only has a VGA port on the back of it. My TV has an HDMI port on the back of it. How would I connect the 2 together so I will have Video and Audio?

VGA cable from PC tower to TV

And you will need the cable that splits to red and white at one end and the 3.5mm audio jack lead at the other.

Red and white cables go into the tv the audio jack end into the computer's earphone output

You could always buy a VGA to HDMI Cable adapter on EBAY for like 5$

Yeah but that is really expensive for just an HDMI to VGA
