Sooo, refreshed my laptop due to some issues. (Mainly W8.1) And I've just jumped back on Cod4 for a bit and the gameplay is really choppy (still, not bad fps, just choppy.) and I'm running with ~50 fps less than I was, previously somewhere in the region of 120-140 dependant on the server. I'm using the same config as I was before though. And I also believe that I've installed everything that was previously there before refreshing.

Any ideas on what could the problem be?

- Not sure if it matters but I'm back on 8.0, which was what I was previously on before.

What do you mean "refreshed" your laptop? You mean reformatted/reinstalled Win8? If so, did you install the correct display drivers for your GPU?

Try using yitch3's cfg, see if your config is the problem.
