I have a hp pavilion g6. Its not that powerful for gaming but i just want to try to play "call of duty online" on it and i know it will be laggy as hell but is there anything that can narrow it down?.

Make the graphics the lowest, and defrag the laptop

dude matter what, on a laptop like yours (i have one similar)call of duty will lag and i dont know why. i have all then programs that boost my laptop to gaming mode and it still lags yet i can run left for dead 2 and guild wars 2 no problem. but you can try software like i use

Download more RAM...
That is a joke ^
Buy more RAM that will fit your laptop version, manually install it, and you should be golden.
In addition, use the lowest video settings possible since you mostly don't have a good graphics card
