I have a broken xbox 360 slim that can't read discs. If I buy a new one from wal-mart and put the broken one in the box and return it will that work.

EDIT: What if i buy a used one form gamestop and return it thye have a policy that if anything used doesnt work in 2 weeks you can return it

Why not what if i swithced the serial id's to they would never know its possible

I have a feeling they would turn it on/off and open the disk tray without putting disks in lol.
