Delete the game, reinstall it, correctly patch the xex with the update, move update file in cache folder while moving updated files into mw2 folder (INCLUDING FILES EXTRACTED FROM THE UPDATE ex. patch_mp.ff!!), make sure it works without mods, add dll with the corresponding xex replacing retail one. If still black screening, google "mw2 tu8 black screen" youre bound to find a tutorial somewhere since i remember typing this same exact thing like 15 times when tu8 came out... People arent gonna spoon-feed you when its as simple as spending 10 seconds of your time to do some dang research.

Default.xex is the main menu to mw2 try a clean default_mp.xex
