Well, Dell is short for money and is asking their employees to "Please Quit"

The main reasons why they're doing it is because then the employee won't be able to collect unemployment.

SourceFed video of it:

What do you think of this?

So if you quit your job you can't collect unemployment? That is good! But the fact that Dell is asking them to quit so they don't have to be the company who laid thousands of worked off is sad..

Yup, Well mainly they don't want to pay unemployment.

I think they would rather fire than lay people off.

I'd straight up refuse if they asked me that.

Can't afford staff? so you're not one of the largest computing company's ey?

My previous job asked almost all of the employees to quit when our hours were becoming very limited due to it being slow (local retail grocery store), a lot of us refused due to obvious reasons. Doesn't exactly surprise me that a large company like Dell is doing this.

I think this is ridiculous.
The fact they are asking them to quit instead of firing or laying them off so that they can't claim unemployment is disgusting.
