Sean wroteQlu wrote It's a huge amount, I think about it all the time but you have to realize a large amount of the members are inactive or banned :whatthat:
Well heres the thing well over 1 million different people visit the site each month most already have accounts but really unless you want to post or use the shoutbox there is not much point signing in.
I think if we made the forums members only we would see a flood of people signed in but i would prefer to have the site readable logged in or not.
Even if that is true, making the website need a required account to access the forums/shout box and whatever other features are included is a good idea. Personally, I think it gives the feel of TTG being an exclusive forum, being that it requires an account. I've been here for a while, obviously not as long as others, but keeping the way that ttg is right now that feature would mean, more content, but still quality =/= quantity, you're sacrificing quality posts because it's people that actually want to post, or voice their opinions on the site right now. Kind of contradicted myself, but oh well.

I don't think so, because honestly, I doubt a lot of people who join will have much to contribute. So people that don't make accounts, and then have to might make one and just take up space on a server when all they do it visit and read..
EDIT: I do like the feature we already have where only members can see links, etc. That is good(:

I reckon the 1.5 millionth member should get something. A badge or something like that.

That is a lot of people. However quite a few of those people are banned and or not active.
Still Ninety Three Thousand is a lot more members to gain. I think another year and TTG will be at one and a half million.

Lightyear wroteAxe wrote I have come to this realization many times, and the thing that I find crazy is that I am the 15th top poster out of about 1.5 million people.Minus the 1.49 million inactive accounts you're doing well.
:trollin:
See, my good man, there is indefinitely not 1.49 million users inactive xD
