So my PC has so much stuff I don't even use on it, I just want to restore it and generally start fresh. I have the Activation # and but the disc used wasn't an official Windows disc, it was a disc that my uncle made to install windows on my PC, I guess Windows wont read it as a Installation disc. I just really need to know if anyone knows of a way to resotre windows without the Installation disc. Will +REP to whomever gives a working method.

You could torrent the actual .iso

Digital River hosts downloads for all Windows 7 disk images for Microsoft. Perfect for creating disks for startup repair or trial use.

Don't torrent anything. You can use ImgBurn to create a bootable DVD or WinToFlash to make a bootable flash drive.
