Don't listen to him he is clueless... anyways if you get an xbox with a kernal lower that 7371 its jtaggable maybe costing around 50-100$. buying a whole jtagged xbox will be 100-250$. also answering his stupidity there is a wiring called jtag and then there is the nand dump which is a completely different install. hope i helped!

Thank you i have seen the items needed for jtagging the xbox itself like parts and all for like 20-25 dollars and wondering if thats legit or not and yes you did help

just checked the kernel and it is lower so that is strait now im wondering if i should venture down the path of opening the xbox and all the other things that go along with instalation

I have 1 and its not that greatit depends what ur getting it for if ur getting it to host dont bother its not worth all the fuss

What I would do is find a jtaggable and buy a Nand-x kit, which is very easy to use with minimal soldering skills. It's easy to solder if you have the correct equipment, so do not worry too much about not being able to do the wiring. Just use coolshrimps JTAG tool and you'll be fine, I can even help you JTAG it through team viewer if you need help. If you have the right attitude you can build your own instead of buying one which is very rewarding too 8)
