Let me start by saying a few things.
First, this is the story as told by my dad. I was not there and did not see it happen. Because of that, some details may be missing.
Second, my dad is not a religious man, and he needs to see proof before he believes anything. He wouldn't just start pulling things out his arse.
Third, he wouldn't make this up. He's told his in-laws and his wife was there to see everything. He doesn't play jokes like this or anything similar.

Now, the story.

His father-in-law put this fence up for him and then my dad noticed what looked like a dark green/brown pole coming out of the ground, but it even had a bit of dirt on top. It was about 5 inches tall and 2 inches in diameter. It's top came to a point like a hill. He figured his father-in-law put it there so he didn't pay much attention. The next day he and his wife were out by the fence and he showed her. He tried turning it and he said it could turn a tiny bit but it was deff anchored to the ground somehow. Apparently it felt like it could possibly be unscrewed with enough pressure. He also tried bending it and it seemed like it wanted to come loose. Then he turned and talked to his wife and she told him to pull it out of the ground completely to see what it was. He turned to do so and it was gone. He said there was no mark in the dirt at all, and he said he dug down a little and the dirt seemed untouched. Both of them saw the pole in the ground and they both saw it disappear in a matter of seconds, leaving no evidence of its existence. They were both 100% sober.

Is there any logical explanation to this? Did my dad and step-mom witness something done by a non-human being? Are we being watched?
