Sexxi wrote i use tmobile also works just fine
I've spent so much time and money trying to get it to work for me. I just came back from a store which tried to unlock it with a GPP and no success as well. I've tried about 5 different types of tmobile sims. Nothing seems to work. I'm currently updating to ios 7 to see if it changes anything.

Akimbo- wrote unlocking iPhones is illegal just saying
No it isn't. Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, jailbreaking iPhones is legal in the United States, although Apple has announced that the practice of jailbreaking "can violate the warranty"

Well after upgrading to ios 7, the same thing was happening. I ended up doing the jailbreak and renaming the carrier bundles. After that I got the no service sign. So then I used the ir0se patch and forced the 2g. But I don't know how to get 3G to work. Do you know how?
