Nothing will happen. People get worked up over nothing.

No. This is not the first time people were modding their ranks on a Rockstar game. When Red Dead Redemption first arrived, people could load up a save editor and edit their ranks and weapons on their online. The most they will do is place you in the Cheater Pool like they said in the beginning of the games release or ban you indefinitely from the Online servers.

If you received the money, you have no worries. Spending it will do nothing to you, in fact if they do choose to reset your money - you will not have it. You are better off buying all you want with it before they do reset it (if they do)

If people are prepared to cheat they should also be prepared for the consequences.
Modding a game online is wrong in my opinion but modding a single-player game to enhance it is ok because the only person that suffers is you.
I actually hope R* make good on their promises and punish the people who have exploited this . And I am sure all those who had large amounts of money forced upon them will not say no to their money been put back to what it was.
