I also don't have a very good computer and I'm not good with telling what will run with what specs.

If you could say which games you can run on your laptop, that would help a little.
But for now, here's some games I currently enjoy playing on Steam:
Contagion
Dungeonland (haven't played it much but still a fun game)
Garry's Mod
GoldenEye: Source (you'd be lucky to find a server on this game though)
Hidden: Source (very fun game but difficult in my opinion)
Left 4 Dead/Left 4 Dead 2
No More Room In Hell (I honestly haven't played this at all but my brother has and we have the same laptop. Not sure whether this game is actually any good.)
Pirates, Vikings & Knights II (similar to Chivalry or War of the Roses but it's made in the source engine, so it can run well on older computers)
Suicide Survival (I have never found a server on this game but I have played it with a few friends and it is very fun)
Tactical Intervention (very fun, similar to Counter Strike)
Team Fortress 2 (this game may literally be able to devour your life)
Zombie Panic Source (quite a fun game but you're not going to spend a lot of hours on it)

Edit: lol, sorry. Wrote 'Zombie Panic Force' instead of 'Zombie Panic Source'. Fixed it now. ;p
