That's a idiotic comparison, considering if you took a dump on my couch, you would be making me need to buy another couch which costs me money, and ruining my furniture. Someone posting on a site having to make you scroll down a bit more isn't making you pay or ruining your website. A more reasonable argument would be if a youtuber you are subscribed to kept posting videos you dislike, then if so you can unsubscribe his channel, or in other words leave the site, or stay and put up with the free content.
