Hi, I recently discovered my graphics card has a total of 64 MB allocated to the integrated graphics which I know, is downright terrible. I also discovered that I can increase this to 256 MB through the systems BIOS. I am running on an HP on Windows 8 and whenever I go to BIOS, the option to increase video ram isn't there like websites say. Any ideas or assistance would be great because I would like to be able to play more games, even if I can only play them on low. Thanks.

P.S - I am running on Intel HD Graphics 4000

64 MB is the minimum the driver will allocate to the GPU. Integrated GPUs use system RAM and if they need more, they'll use it, but allocating more is a waste of resources. HD 4000 can use up to 1.7 GB if necessary (it won't be).

The only way to improve performance would be to overclock the integrated GPU or get faster memory. IGPU overclocking is not a feature on most boards and it doesn't look like your BIOS will even let you change the minimum RAM allocation.

The best way is to overclock your graphics card. Just be careful and make sure you know what you are doing, otherwise, you will mess your computer up completely.
