So I posted a topic around 20 days ago now and after the recommendations I got, I've came down to 2 keyboards but still unsure which one to get, if even any of these 2.

Board #1 60GBP -

Board #2 48GBP -

Board #3 69GBP [Also a mechanical board] -

So as you can see, backlit keyboards are a must for me as I often play in a dark environment... also as it looks kinda cool xD

Also, as I said I may not end up getting either of these 2 as I may find a far superior board.

If you are planning to recommend..
<80GBP
Backlit is a must

I was planning on getting a keyboard - and I have enough money to. But, why spend 80 quid on one that does the same thing as a 20 quid keyboard? If you can live without some of the features and the mechanical keys, why spend that much money?

Sure, mechanical keys are lovely, but my one does the job fine.

Have a look at the K30 or a Perixx keyboard. If you can find one, Sidewinder X4 is a good choice.

Build Quality, Durability.

I bought a 20 keyboard from amazon not too long ago and within a week, the R key, 8 Key and the ` Key all fell off. Another one I had was a steal at ~10, or what I thought was a steal. Some of the keys on that just refused to work after a few months.
Therefore, as I have money left from christmas I plan on upgrading my setup. Already bought a monitor, still got my Gigabyte M6900 mouse which was a great buy and definitely was small in expense.

For an extra tenner you could buy a top of the range mechanical KB, so I would spend the extra, or not bother with a new one at all.

What 'top of the range' one are you hinting toward?

Does actually look like a really nice keyboard.
To be quite honest, I never thought mechanical keyboards made much of a difference to general typers as well as gamers until I just looked it up then. Also, I never thought they looked aesthetically good but I guess I found some bad images of them haha

Definitely going into my list...

How long you had it for?

If you definitely want a good keyboard, go for something like this:

It depends what you're going to be using the keyboard for.

Typing - Blue switches
Gaming - Red switches
Both - Brown Switches

That's just a rough guide. Some people like typing on the red swtiches, and some people like gaming on blues.

Blues are the typical clicky ones that people think of when you mention mechanical keys.

If I'm honest, I prefer gaming on Blue keys to Reds, Reds are way to light for me.

OP: I have had this KB for about 5 months and has never missed a click. It is an astounding keyboard for the money, you'd have to be silly not to pick one up.

People only say not to game on blues because of the actuation point of them. The blues actuate at a given point, X, but re actuate at X + a little.
