Okay so as some of you know I just built a PC. I started assembling it today and it was putting no display to the tv. It's not the cord or the tv cause my brother was using both earlier. I have an msi fm2 e35 mobo 2x4gb sticks of corsair veng ram. A gigabyte Radeon r9 270x video card. All the fans are spinning including the CPU fan. The CPU is put in correctly. The ram are in the right spots. Any ideas?

They are very much worth getting. Especially this time of year. You could have discharged static onto your CPU therefore killing it.

This sounds stupid, but did you connect the cooler wire into the CPU fan pin?

double check where the cpu fan is installed, there may be a little bit of writing to the left and it will indicate where the connector should go
If you're using 2 sticks of ram, put them in A1 and B1 (if this doesnt work try one stick and then try A2 and B2)
Use the VGA/DVI connection on the GPU and then install all the correct drivers from the website so you can use HMDI
